Metik's Packaging Upgrade for Australian Orders: Cardboard Boxes Replace Wooden Crates, Fulfilling Environmental Commitment

On December 25, 2025, the first batch of solar battery cover using Metik's new cardboard packaging was loaded onto a ship at the port.  1200 pcs solar battery enclosure and 900 battery safety bollard set sail for Australia. This shipment marks the company's formal transition from traditional wooden crates to environmentally friendly cardboard packaging, taking a new step towards sustainable development in the field of photovoltaic product export packaging.

According to Metik's logistics manager, this packaging upgrade underwent six months of technical verification. The core breakthrough lies in the use of high-strength corrugated cardboard boxes treated with a special process. Unlike ordinary packaging, this cardboard box strengthens its structure through fiber grading and dynamic self-crosslinking bio-based bonding technology, achieving load-bearing performance comparable to traditional wooden crates, while reducing the weight of each box by more than 25%, significantly reducing shipping energy consumption. To protect the photovoltaic modules, the company uses a double-layer packaging solution of "individual small boxes + collective large boxes": each solar battery cover is equipped with a custom-sized individual cardboard box, and 30 individual boxes are then integrated into a high-strength large box. Corrugated cardboard partitions precisely fix the components inside the box, preventing damage caused by transportation vibrations.
